Introduction

People are making thousands of dollars each month in passive income by dropshipping products from AI-built Shopify stores. I’ve made millions of dollars with dropshipping, and today, I’m putting it to the test by creating a Shopify store using only free tools and keeping the total cost under $1.

Here’s how I did it:

Step 1: Choose a Free AI Tool

The first step is to find a free AI tool to create our Shopify store. After some research, I found Build Your Store, which claims to build a Shopify store for us and lets us sell other people’s products without needing inventory or doing any of the work ourselves.

  • Signed up with my name, email, and password.
  • Chose a niche: Sports and Fitness (a large market with high demand).
  • Selected a banner that appeals to both men and women.

Pro Tip: Always choose a niche with a large market and high demand. Sports and fitness are great because they appeal to a wide audience.

Step 2: Set Up a Free Shopify Account

Next, I set up a free Shopify account to let the AI build our store. Here’s how:

  • Clicked Access Shopify and started a free trial.
  • Chose the Basic Plan for solo entrepreneurs.
  • Added payment details (free for the first three months).
  • Installed the Build Your Store app to automate the store creation.

Note: The Shopify fee doesn’t count toward our $1 budget since it’s free for the first three months.

Step 3: Find Winning Products

To find winning products, I registered for AutoDS, a tool that selects proven products, handles pricing, and ships orders directly to customers. Here’s how I did it:

  • Signed up for AutoDS using the same email as Shopify.
  • Chose the Starter 500 Plan for 99 cents (our $1 budget is now spent).
  • Selected products like a breathing trainer, golf clips, resistance bands, and a jogging hat.

Fun Fact: The breathing trainer is a high-demand product, especially among fitness enthusiasts.

Step 4: Publish the Store

With the store built and products added, it was time to publish it. Here’s what I did:

  • Unchecked the Restrict Access box to make the store live.
  • Customized the domain name (free with Build Your Store).
  • Filled in the footer details and linked social media accounts.

Pro Tip: A professional domain name like .store can increase traffic and sales.

Step 5: Promote the Store

To get sales, I partnered with micro-influencers. Here’s how I did it:

  • Reached out to the Instagram influencer.
  • Approved their script for a promotional video featuring the breathing trainer.
  • Paid for the promotion.

Did You Know? Micro-influencers have a 60% higher engagement rate and 20% higher conversion rate than macro-influencers.

Results: $80 Profit in 24 Hours

Within 24 hours, we made 10 sales (excluding my test orders). Here’s the breakdown:

  • Revenue: $170.85
  • Costs: $90.50 (products, shipping, and marketing).
  • Profit: $80.35

While $80 might not seem like much, imagine scaling this by promoting 20 products. It could easily turn into thousands of dollars in profit every month.
